Swimming with the Elephants Rules
Quiet hours of 11pm to 8am.
If smoking is detected inside, a cleaning fee of $200 will be charged.
Checkout is 11am unless otherwise arranged with admin. An unauthorized late checkout will be charged a fee of $300. If late checkout exceeds 2 hours a full additional nightly rate will be charged without the reservation actually being extended. Extending a reservation needs to be approved by admin. If there are refund fees incurred for the next guest because of the late unauthorized checkout that will also be charged.
No rebate will be given for pool malfunction that results in preventing guest use. Having said that we will be reasonable and understanding if pool use is severely impacted. No refunds or discounts will be given if hot tub is closed, malfunctioning or not at a desirable temperature. Backyard and pool tidying to guest standards during the reservation is the responsibility of the guests. The one time cleaning fee is for reasonable turnover cleaning at the end of your stay. Any unreasonable cleaning or damage may be claimed.
There is video surveillance outside the front door and also facing the pool/hot tub. This is an insurance requirement. The cameras shall not be tampered with, covered or moved. Doing so will result in the reservation being cancelled immediately without refund.
Absolutely no glass by the pool. If there is evidence of any glass in the backyard [broken or not] the security deposit may be charged. If garden rocks or anything that may cause damage to the pool is found in the pool the security deposit may be charged. This property is for authorized guest use only. Any additional unauthorized guests seen on video surveillance or otherwise will be charged the additional guest fee and the reservation will be cancelled because house rules were broken.
Photo ID of all guests in the reservation over the age of 18 is required after booking.
A refundable security deposit of $1000 may be requested before check-in instructions are released.
Liability Waiver: All authorized guests agree that swimming here and use of the yard is at your own risk. You accept full responsibility for any injury or death arising from use of this property and pool and hold owner harmless. You understand that there are potential dangers to children who are not carefully supervised as well as the danger to any person who has health risks or is intoxicated. You agree that there are risks associated with using the yard around the pool during the season the pool is closed. Activity within close proximity of the pool is prohibited when the pool is closed. Activity is limited to the back wood deck area and activity is prohibited on the pool deck when the snow falls as it may be difficult to see the location of the pool. You agree to be fully and solely responsible for any accidents you may incur. You understand the risks discussed above and agree that you will assume all responsibility for yourself and for the consequences of those in your party. You agree to waive any claim whatsoever against owner for accidents arising from swimming or facility use. All guests in my party acknowledge and agree that they have read and understand this waiver and that by confirming the reservation you are agreeing to the house rules and this constitutes a binding and enforceable contract between guest and host.
